The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to get on the winning track and pick of their first win of the season tonight as they get ready to take on the scrappy and physical Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Lakers (0-1) are hoping that Luca Doncic can duplicate his stellar performance during his season debut, as he torched the Golden State Warriors for 43 pts., 12 rebounds, and 9 assists. Austin Reaves also showed up, contributing 26 points and 9 assists. However, the Lakers will need a lot more than that if they want to go home with the win. Deandre Ayton had 10 points in his first game for the Lakers, but was only able to secure 6 rebounds. Also, if the Lakers bench isn’t able to disrupt the Wolves’ offense muster up more than a collective 18 points, it could prove to be a long night for the Lakers.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves (1-0) come into LA fresh off of a 118-114 victory over the Portland Trailblazers. The Wolves were lead by their young and fearless star, Anthony Edwards, as he pounded the Blazers with 41 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Julius Randle contributed 19 points and 7 rebounds while Jaden McDaniels chipped in with 18 points himself. The Timberwolves role players also displayed their talents, with Terrence Shannon, Jr. scoring 10 points. It will be interesting to see if the Wolves continue their road success as they journey to improve on last year’s accomplishment of reaching the Western Conference Finals.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm tonight at Crypto.com Areana.
